This is a collection of custom work that I have done in the past. Most pieces have been sold. If you see certain design elements that you like, I can create a similar piece with that in mind. The work is cold forged from sheet and wire, an ancient technique that makes it very durable. The random brush finishes that I use go back thousands of years. I like to hand finish and burnish edges to a high polish to set them off from the warm brush finishes.

DIANA’S ARROW, brooch, 2007, 3 1/2 “H x 1”W x 1/2” D (in stock, price restricted, please contact me)

Forged 18k Gold, Boulder opals and Diamonds, the center bead flips over to reveal an 18k red gold and shakudo Mokume Gane bead.

This piece was inspired by a trip I made to Greece and Turkey to visit and design at some temples dedicated to fertility Goddesses. This one I did for Diana “ the Warrior”, Goddess of the Hunt, wild Animals, the moon and childbirth. . The fluid Bumps became a theme after a trip to Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the Antient world. The finish is one of the oldest known, brushed with powdered corundum with a polished steel burnished edge to set it off. Fluid and Juicy, this is a one of a kind piece.

Forged 18k gold, Tahitian black pearl, Ceylon Sapphires, Boulder Opal, removable Lid.

This Piece was designed at the Temple of ISIS at PHILEA in South Egypt. it represents the SUN RA on top of Deity. Isis is the Goddess of the moon, life and magic, protector of women and children. The brushed 18k gives a nice contrast to the polished 18k. In would love to do more pieces like this as a brooch or a pendant…..so don’t be afraid to ask!!

Inspired by the Fertility cult of Artemis, this pod form is one of a series that I made after a trip around the world in 1996. The polished platinum lens inside the pod bends and reflects light like a fun house mirror. I have not seen this piece in years. it sold through a private show at the Maryland Inst. of Art. I would love to make more based on this form.

This is one of the first pieces I did based on the writings of Lewis Thomas and his wonderment of the cell and the origins of life. I got hooked on the theme and have tried to use elements of wetness and fluidity in my work ever since. forging metal is interesting, especially when you realize it started out as a gas, and then a liquid before it was found crystalized in the earth….and then I get my hands on it.

ARTEMIS, brooch, 2004, 2 1/4”H x 1”W x 1”D, Published in the book “On Body and Soul, Contemporary Armor to Amulets” by Suzanne Ramljak (in stock, price restricted, please contact me) 18k gold, platinum, boulder, diamonds, pearl, and a ruby set upside down under the diamond reflecting in the platinum parabolic dish.

This pod form is one of many that are based on the fertility Goddess Artemis. It’s a fun piece because the center of it holds a platinum parabolic dish that reflects red from a small ruby that is set under the diamond. It tool me a long time to get just the right placement for this to happen. I love the brushed 18k yellow gold and the steel burnished edge. It’s a very sweet piece that could also have an enhancer made for it so it could hang on a chain.

SEVEN ALCHEMICAL KEYS, Puzzle, 1996, 3”H x 5 1/2”W x 1/4”D, This piece comes apart into 7 pieces, they were buried all over the world, only 2 have been found. 18k gold and platinum.

In 1996 I took a trip around the world. I left the pieces to this puzzle on or near temples, statues, monuments or buildings. not exactly buried, but hidden inside of small lead envelopes with a message, ”you have found one of the 7 Alchemical keys, it is yours to keep, please notify the artist.” imagine my surprise when after a 2 years I went to the mailbox and found a letter written entirely in Greek. it read “ I have found one, now what do I do with it??” A friend and I took the letter to Greek Town in Baltimore to have it interpreted. it was found 13 steps out of the Cave of the Apocalypse of ST. JOHN in Patmos Greece. keep your eyes open folks.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Custom made jewelry is a very personal thing. I am complimented every time I create a new piece for someone.
